About Us
Eco-Friendly | Bee-Safe | Designed for Women
Our Mission is to Make Beekeeping Better for Women.
At Jeometry Beewear, we design high-performance beekeeping apparel for women—crafted for comfort, protection, and empowerment. We believe every woman beekeeper deserves a suit that fits, moves, and protects without compromise.
Sustainability is at our core. We source eco-friendly materials, partner with women-led businesses, and collaborate with American manufacturers to create innovative gear that redefines the traditional bee suit.
Our goal? To elevate women in beekeeping with smarter, better-fitting, and thoughtfully designed apparel—because the right gear makes all the difference.
Sustainability at the Core
At Jeometry Beewear, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword—it’s woven into every thread of our suits. Made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, our innovative triple-mesh fabric repurposes plastic waste, reducing environmental impact while keeping you cool and protected. By using undyed honeycomb mesh, we also save thousands of gallons of water that would otherwise be wasted in the dyeing process. Every suit is a step toward a cleaner planet and a more responsible way to keep bees.
Minimizing Virgin Plastic, Maximizing Impact
Our suits are crafted with a mission: to reduce virgin plastic use while maintaining top-tier performance. The TC-certified fabric is made entirely from recycled materials, ensuring that no new plastic enters the supply chain. This means less waste, less pollution, and a smarter way to dress for beekeeping. By choosing Jeometry Beewear, you’re not just protecting yourself—you’re protecting the environment.
Eco-Friendly, Thoughtfully Designed
Sustainability isn’t just about materials—it’s about lasting quality. Our suits are built to endure, reducing the need for frequent replacements and minimizing textile waste. Even our pocket webbing and loop trims are made in the USA, supporting local production and reducing carbon footprints. A suit that keeps you safe, comfortable, and eco-conscious? That’s the future of beekeeping.
Our Founder
Jennifer York grew up in rural Indiana, inspired by her beekeeper grandfather, who spent decades educating others and selling honey. This early exposure to beekeeping stayed with her as she pursued a creative path, earning degrees in sculpture and textiles. She later founded Jennythreads Studio, a business dedicated to designing and crafting handmade apparel for over 20 years.
In 2015, Jennifer followed in her grandfather’s footsteps, taking up beekeeping and becoming a Certified Beekeeper in 2017 and Journeyman in 2021. When she relocated to Charleston in 2020, she transported her beehives with her, continuing her passion. During a conference, she listened as women beekeepers expressed frustration with traditional bee suits—poorly fitting and uncomfortable. This moment sparked an idea: creating a bee suit specifically for women.
Determined to make a difference, Jennifer began extensive research, designing, and personally testing prototypes in her own apiary. She refined each version through real-world use, eliminating weak spots and improving comfort. Her dedication paid off in 2024 when she received a grant from the SC Beekeepers Association, helping to bring her vision to life. Partnering with the Carolina Textile District, she sourced quality materials and manufacturing. She collaborated with Edgington Studio to refine her handmade design and paper patterns into a professional-grade suit, available in sizes S to XXL.
The name Jeometry Beewear reflects her lifelong love of geometry, inspired by the structured beauty of honeycomb patterns. Created by a woman, for women, Jeometry Beewear is redefining comfort and functionality in beekeeping gear—because beekeeping gear should work as hard as you do.
